Chris Davison, who has been with Syngenta since 2012, is the new head of business sustainability for North America. He started the new role on June 1, and he was previous head of Corporate & Government Affairs for Syngenta in Canada.
The company says he’s been instrumental in the company’s adoption of significant sustainability initiatives in Canada and has led multiple advocacy efforts in support of farmers and the industry.
“With more than 25 years of experience in public affairs and communications, Chris brings tremendous expertise and value to this position,” Alexandra Brand, Chief Sustainability Officer of Syngenta said in a news release. “He will play a key role in North America as Syngenta accelerates its innovation to address the increasing challenges for farmers and the changing views of society. Our goal is to bring about positive lasting change in agriculture, and Chris will help us deliver on these ambitions.”
Davison is relocating from Guelph, Ontario, to Washington, D.C. Davison holds a master’s degree in public administration and a post-graduate certificate in public relations.
