CommoditAg expands its footprint with the eighth addition of a participating retailer. Premier Companies, which serves 14 counties in Southeastern Indiana with agronomic inputs, energy, grain marketing and other ag products and services for agriculture, adds two warehouses in Salem, Ind., and Shelbyville Ind., as part of the CommoditAg infrastructure which enables online ordering and purchasing of farm inputs.
“Premier Companies’ mission is to enhance the success of our customers by ensuring a premier source of supplies and services at competitive prices,” said Harold Cooper, Premier Companies CEO & General Manager in a news release. “Our CommoditAg membership allows us the opportunity to keep delivering on that mission by offering our customers another purchasing option. The CommoditAg online experience complements our full-service offerings at Premier Companies.”
One notable feature of the site is CommoditAg Live, which gives real-time inventory of the site’s warehouses.
“Our customers can order products in the field from their smartphone, drive to one of our convenient warehouse locations, and pick up the products they need for that day,” said Bruce Vernon, CommoditAg’s Chief Executive Officer in a news release.
Other retailer partners in the CommoditAg network are: Crystal Valley Cooperative in Minnesota, Farmward Cooperative in Minnesota, Liqui-Grow in Illinois, MKC in Kansas, Landmark Services in Wisconsin, Sunrise Cooperative in Ohio, and The Equity in Illinois.
