New Agribusiness Peer-To-Peer Networking Group to Start

With the successful launch of two agribusiness peer groups at the end of 2016, Farm Journal Media is helping agriculture professionals focus on key industry topics like managing multiple generations in the workforce and controlling work/life balance.

Based on continued inquiry from the industry, Farm Journal is accepting application for its third agribusiness peer-to-peer networking and career development group. This peer group launches as part of the online peer group program in the Top Producer Executive Network (TPEN) portfolio.

Farm Journal launched TPEN in 2012 as a peer-to-peer network for top farmers and ranchers. Interest from other segments in agriculture has spurred expansion with other types of groups. Peer groups are designed for education and networking excellence to propel members to higher levels of professional and personal success.

"The peer group really helps you to buck through what we know and who we know in our network and broaden those horizons," says Mariah Lynne, founder of Good Steward Consulting and a member of the first TPEN agribusiness group. "It adds a bit of freedom to be completely open and honest, because the people inside your peer group are there to help and support you."

The next interactive online agribusiness peer group will kick off with an in-person launch meeting February 27-28, 2017, in San Antonio. Additional interactions will include six interactive, web-based video conference meetings over the course of the year.

Base on research with members, the online format is a big advantage for working professionals.

"We're excited to launch a third peer group focused on agribusiness professionals looking to learn from each other and accelerate their success in our industry," says Melissa J. Sanders Carroll, general manager, Top Producer Executive Network. The group, like all Farm Journal peer groups, will be led by one of Farm Journal's professional facilitators. Members will work together to promote an environment of accountability while implementing workshop concepts to achieve career and group goals.
