Meijer recalls salads due to mislabeling

Meijer has recalled a shipment of its pre-made Caesar salads because they were incorrectly labeled as Greek salads.

The mislabeled salads contain packaged croutons, a wheat allergen that is not declared on the Greek salad labels because the retailer's Greek salads do not include croutons.

The mislabeled salads were shipped to all 230 Meijer locations, according to a notice on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website.

The affected products are in plastic containers and have a sell-by date of March 3. The labels have a UPC number beginning with 218234, with the last six digits varying because they are determined by weight.
