Farmers are starting to plant in Iowa but it's going very slow. Only 4 percent is planted for corn. Usually it’s more than double that at 10 percent. However, there are some things out of a farmer's control and it is a change to attitudes and acreage mix.

AgDay's Betsy Jibben explains as she heads to Eastern Iowa for this report in this week's I-80 Planting Tour. She talks with David Walton from Wilton, Iowa; Sam Funk, an Economist with the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and Mike Naig, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.
