Farm Journal ( Farm Journal )

In Nebraska, the state’s USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) report shows oats were the only crop planted last week. 18 percent of oats are planted in the Cornhusker State, well behind the five-year average.

In this week’s stop along the I-80 Planting Tour, Betsy Jibben talks to Luke Lauritsen and Dale Lauritsen of Arlington, Nebraska and Kris Kavan of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. All three farmers in eastern Nebraska are anxious to get going.
