The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) announced it is hosting the annual 4R Summit June 14-15 in Indianapolis, Ind. The Summit will allow those interested in nutrient management and stewardship to learn more about the 4R Nutrient Stewardship program and hear from a broad range of 4R stakeholders, including growers, retailers, government partners, researchers, and others, about 4R Nutrient Stewardship efforts and impacts.
"As environmental concerns and the demand for food continue to grow, so does our understanding of the best agricultural practices needed to overcome these challenges," said Chris Jahn, TFI president. "I encourage those who are interested in how the fertilizer industry is working with stakeholders to improve nutrient stewardship, increase agricultural productivity and minimize impact to the environment to attend this year's summit."
A broad range of work occurring around the implementation of the 4R principles will be highlighted. Participants will hear from speakers about in-field implementation of the 4R principles, agribusiness involvement, government- and non-governmental organization-supported initiatives and details on projects funded through the 4R Research Fund. The schedule this year features concurrent breakout sessions to offer participants a choice of speakers and topics.
The 4R Summit will be held in downtown Indianapolis at the Hilton Indianapolis, and a block of rooms is available at a group rate. Registration and hotel reservation information is available online, along with a copy of the summit agenda.
