On September 3, Minnesota-based co-operative Crystal Valley announced it has acquired Shell Rock Ag Inc.
Shell Rock Ag started in 2004 and is located in Hayward, MN.
The acquisition expands the co-op’s footprint across southern Minnesota and includes a lease of an anhydrous ammonia fertilizer location in Glenville, MN.
“We are excited to welcome the Shell Rock Ag team and bring added value to the business they have built. We are committed to providing Shell Rock Ag customers with the exceptional service Crystal Valley is known for,” Jeff Hendricks, Crystal Valley’s Vice President of Agronomy said in the news release.
Terry Nelson, the owner of Shell Rock Ag said this acquisition will provide customers the services they need for the future.
“We recognize that growers of the future are going to need resources and technology that we don’t currently have. We felt that Crystal Valley was the company best able to provide the high level of service our customers would need to be successful,” Nelson, owner said in the news release.
