DANA POINT, Calif. - The California Fresh Fruit Association elected officers at its annual meeting, where it kicked off a new fiscal year.
Officers are chosen by a committee of previous board chairmen and serve a one-year term, according to a news release.
The committee selected Harold McClarty of Kingsburg-based HMC Farms as chairman; Randy Giumarra of Bakersfield-based Giumarra Vineyards Corp. as first vice chair; Kevin Herman of Madera-based The Specialty Crop Co. as second vice chair; and Louis Pandol of Delano-based Pandol Bros. as secretary and treasurer.
Directors added were Paul Wilson of Rivermaid Trading Co., Lodi, and David Fenn of Sun World International, Delano.
The board recognized exiting director Chiles Wilson of Rivermaid for his service to the organization and did the same for three members who died in 2016 - Ken Enns of Dinuba-based Enns Packing, Jim Simonian of Fowler-based Simonian Fruit Co., and Cliff Sadoian of Reedley-based Sadoian and Associates.
