August Combine Sales Beat Seasonal Slump

According to the latest data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, August unit sales were positive across all categories year-to-year and year-to-end with the exception of 40 to 100 hp.

Notably, four-wheel-drive tractor sales were up almost 20% in August 2019 compared with August 2018. Year-to-date the category’s sales are up 12.7%.

The combine unit sales also showed an interesting takeaway—rather than a slight dip in August coming off of July numbers, in 2019, new unit sales ticked upward. To-date, 2019 unit sales are flat with 2018 levels.
