AgPro Podcast: MFA Steps Up Its Approach to The Right Rate and 4R Management

How are you adopting and promoting the 4R strategy across your nutrient management business?

A: “Several CCAs on staff have their 4R specialty certification, and all agronomy trainings are based on the 4Rs. We also do farmer outreach, so they understand. The right rate is very important. With precision ag, we want to demonstrate to growers that we can correctly place crop nutrients. Typically, a farmer will let us variable-rate one field to show the return. And quickly, we’ll be applying variable-rate across the entire farm. We’ve focused on being able to support all systems at every step from making the prescription to the variable-rate file being run in the spreader truck.”
