The corn market was trading in the green during Thursday morning’s trading session. However, exports are still an issue.
“Right now our corn demand on the exports side is historically weak,” said Brian Basting of Advanced Trading.
U.S. producers and companies are looking for demand, even outside of China.
“One of them could be a Chinese deal,” said Basting. “The other one now, as we get in the fields to harvest our 2019 crop, South America is just starting to plant their 2020 crop. [There’s always] a possibility of a weather issue. Between now and then, really, the competition is going to be extremely strong.”
