Wheat update

Dennis Berglund  |   June 26, 2012

1)      Crops are somewhat variable, with most spring wheat in the grain fill stage

2)      BYDV, stripe rust, tan spot, Septoria and powdery mildew are present in the lower canopy even in fields that had a fungicide applied, but they should move slowly now

3)      There are wide differences in disease levels by variety and also by county

4)      Lastly, Fusarium Head Blight forecasts indicate low risk, but that is yet to be seen
