Bids as of 9:30 a.m. Pacific time; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full June delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
In early trading July wheat futures were mixed, from a 0.25 of a cent
lower to 2.75 cents per bushel higher than Wednesday’s closes, with the
decline in Minneapolis and the advance in Kansas City. Chicago July
wheat futures trended steady. Kansas City September wheat futures were a
0.25 of a cent per bushel higher than Wednesday’s closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for June delivery in unit trains or
barges were not fully established in early trading, however bids held
steady with Wednesday’s noon bids. Some exporters are not issuing bids
for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June
delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated
as 2.75 to 4.75 cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesday’s noon
bids. Higher Kansas City July and September spring wheat futures were
supportive to bids. Most exporters have switched their basis to over the
September Kansas City wheat futures for June and July delivery. Some
exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for June delivery were not well tested in early trading but were
indicated as a 0.25 of a cent per bushel lower compared to Wednesday’s
noon bids in following the fractionally lower Minneapolis July spring
wheat futures. Some exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland and the Yakima Valley
were not available.
