Bids as of 9:30 a.m. Pacific time; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full June delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
In early trading July wheat futures were mixed, from six cents lower
to 3.25 cents per bushel higher than Wednesday’s closes, with the decline
in Chicago and the greatest advance in Kansas City.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for June delivery in unit trains or
barges were not fully established in early trading, however bids were
mixed, from 4.50 cents lower to four cents per bushel higher compared to
Wednesday’s noon bids. The lower Chicago July wheat futures pressured
cash bids, however higher basis bid by some exporters supported cash
bids. Some exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June
delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids trended
3.25 cents per bushel higher than Wednesday’s noon bids following the
higher Kansas City July wheat futures. Some exporters were not issuing
bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for June delivery were not well tested in early trading, however
bids were 0.75 of a cent per bushel higher compared to Wednesday’s noon
bids. The fractionally higher Minneapolis July spring wheat futures
supported cash bids.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland and the Yakima Valley
were not available.
