Bids as of 9:30 a.m. Pacific time; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during May by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full May delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
In early trading July Wheat futures were 4.25 to 12.50 cents per
bushel lower than Thursday’s closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for May delivery in unit trains or
barges were not fully established in early trading but bids were 4.25 to
10.00 cents per bushel lower compared to Thursday’s noon bids. A lower
basis bid by some exporters and lower Chicago July wheat futures weighed
on cash bids. Some exporters were not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for May
delivery were not fully established in early trading but bids trended
10.50 to 15.50 cents per bushel lower than Thursday’s noon bids for the
same delivery period. Lower Kansas City July wheat futures and a lower
basis bid by some exporters pressured bids. Some exporters are not
issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for May delivery were not well tested in early trading, however
bids were indicated as 12.50 cents per bushel lower than Thursday’s noon
bids in lining up with the lower Minneapolis July spring wheat futures.
Some exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland and the Yakima Valley
were not available.
