NDSU schedules getting it right soybean meetings

Soybean producers interested in intensive soybean management should plan to attend one of four Getting it Right in Soybean Production meetings scheduled for Streeter, Underwood, Minot and Newburg in North Dakota. At the meetings, North Dakota State University Extension Service faculty and staff will discuss past soybean research conducted in North Dakota and the outlook and production issues for 2015.

AGP to build soybean refinery in Iowa

Ag Processing Inc., a cooperative (AGP) announced that the company's Board of Directors has approved plans for the construction of a soybean oil refinery at its Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, facility. Current plans and schedules anticipate completion of the new refinery in the spring of 2017.

NCGA announces 2014 yield contest winners

The 18 winners in six production categories had verified yields averaging more than 383.6 bushels per acre, compared to the projected national average of 173.4 bushels per acre in 2014. While there is no overall contest winner, yields from first, second and third place farmers overall production categories topped out at 503.7190.
