Fertilizer price update

Doane Advisory Services  |   October 8, 2012

click image to zoom Right now prices for urea, DAP and potash are all down from year ago levels, but prices for anhydrous ammonia are up a little, according to Doane Advisory Services.

With the relatively small crops in 2012, nutrient removal from the soil may be lower than in a “normal” year, which would tend to dampen demand, especially for P and K. Nitrogen prices soared right during spring planting this year due in part to the very fast planting pace. Overall, we expect fertilizer costs to produce an acre of corn to be down in 2013

it’s good to know current news about fertilizer industry, also from different sources, for ex. like fertilizer company from Poland is running a blog http://blog.pulawy.com/en/nasze-zaklady/rozpoczynamy-tworzenie-bloga-zakladow-azotowych-pulawy I can find there some interesting information, despite the fact it’s only developing right now ;)
