Bids as of 9:30 a.m. Pacific time; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during September by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full September delivery.
Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
September wheat futures trended mixed, from 3.25 cents lower to 4.25
cents per bushel higher compared to Thursday’s closes, with the most
decline in Minneapolis and the advance in Chicago. December wheat
futures trended mixed, from one cent lower to 2.25 cents per bushel
higher, with the decline in Minneapolis and the most advance in Chicago.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for September delivery in unit trains
or barges trended mixed, from 3.50 cents lower to ten cents per bushel
higher than Thursday’s noon bids for September delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat were not
fully established in early trading but bids for September delivery were
indicated as generally 0.25 of a cent per bushel higher than Thursday’s
noon bids for September delivery. Bids were supported by the
fractionally higher Kansas City December wheat futures.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for September delivery were not fully established in early trading
but bids were indicated as generally one cent per bushel lower compared
to Thursday’s noon bids for the same delivery period. Bids were
pressured by the lower Minneapolis December wheat futures.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland and the Yakima Valley
were not available.
