Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators

This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were higher on Monday afternoon, with soybean
futures sharply higher. A dry forecast for the South American soybean crop gave
strength to soybean futures. Also helping to boost soybean futures was another
announced sale of 120,000 tonnes of US soybeans to China for the 2012/2013 crop
year.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mostly 12 to 16 cents higher at 7.04-7.16. Soybean bids were 45 to
49 cents higher at 14.13-14.34.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 13 to
18 cents higher at 7.14-7.35. Soybean bids were 41 to 47 higher at 14.23-14.35.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 15 to 20 cents
stronger at 7.07-7.47. Soybean bids were 43 to 45 cents higher at 14.35-14.63.
Wheat bids were up 11 to 12 cents higher at 7.55-7.72.
