Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators
This is Monday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were higher on Monday afternoon, with soybean
futures sharply higher. Technical buying at the Board of Trade helped to lift
soybean futures. Many traders have their eyes on Friday's release of several
major grain reports to be released by the USDA.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were mostly 5 cents higher at 6.66-7.00. Soybean bids were up 18 to 22 cents at
13.65-14.05.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
5 to 6 cents higher at 6.73-6.98. Soybean bids were 21 to 24 cents higher at
13.91-14.06.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 4 to 6 cents stronger
at 6.67-7.06. Soybean bids were 21 to 22 cents higher at 14.03-14.26. Wheat
bids were 4 cents higher at 7.38-7.56.
