Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators
This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were lower on Wednesday, with corn and soybean
values ending sharply lower. Corn futures were pushed down by lower than expected
ethanol use figures. Technical and year end fund selling weighed on soybean
values.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
12 to 20 cents lower at 6.85-7.09. Soybean bids were 22 to 30 cents lower at
14.05-14.22.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 17 to
20 cents lower at 6.94-7.12. Soybean bids were 27 to 31 cents lower at
14.23-14.41.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 17 to 23 cents lower
at 6.71-7.19. Soybean bids were 21 to 29 cents lower at 14.45-14.62. Wheat
bids were mostly 5 to 7 cents lower at 7.83-8.06.
