Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators
This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were higher on Wednesday, with soybean
values sharply higher. Technical and fund buying at the Board of Trade
helped to move soybean values higher. Concern with the South American
soybean crop and good export demand also supported prices.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids mostly 5 to 6 cents higher at 7.35-7.46. Soybean bids were 22 to
24 cents higher at 14.39-14.65.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
4 to 9 cents higher at 7.51-7.63. Soybean bids were 24 to 25 cents higher
at 14.60-14.74.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 6 cents
higher at 7.32-7.77. Soybean bids were 23 to 27 cents higher at 14.76-
14.94. Wheat bids were 5 to 8 cents higher at 8.32-8.45.
