Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators

This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Thursday afternoon, with
soybeans and wheat higher and corn slightly lower. Technical buying at the
Board of Trade and stronger outside markets helped to lift soybeans and
wheat. Slow export demand continues to weigh on corn values.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids 4 cents lower at 7.29-7.46. Soybean bids were 10 to 12 cents higher
at 15.27-15.40.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
mostly 5 cents lower at 7.45-7.58. Soybean bids were mostly 11 to 12
cents higher at 15.42-15.64.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly 4 to 6
cents lower at 7.27-7.61. Soybean bids were 11 to 14 cents higher at
15.33-15.57. Wheat bids were 8 to 9 cents higher at 8.36-8.59.
