Willowood USA announced the company has received EPA registration for Willowood Fomesafen 1.88SL and Willowood Fomesafen 2SL herbicides.

Willowood Fomesafen 1.88SL is a selective herbicide that may be applied pre-plant, pre-emergence or post-emergence for control or suppression of broadleaf weeds, grasses and sedges in soybeans.

Willowood Fomesafen 2SL is a selective herbicide which may be applied pre-plant surface, pre-emergence and/or postemergence for control or partial control of broadleaf weeds, grasses and sedges in cotton, dry beans, snap beans and soybeans.

“These two products add depth to our growing portfolio of herbicides” states Brian Heinze, Willowood USA President and CEO. ‘We continue to add valuable generic alternatives to our list of crop protection products aimed at helping the American farmer.” Heinze went on to say that “These two new Willowood products give growers another herbicide choice for weed control in glyphosate tolerant situations.”

Heinze also mentioned that plans are in place for the registration and development of at least three new products from Willowood USA in 2012.
