The Agricultural Retailers Association is inviting its members to participate in a survey conducted by the American Chemistry Council (ACC). The survey aims to take a "snap shot" of the status of implementation of Chemical Facility Antiterrorism Standards (CFATS) regulations, and the progress made to date to protect the chemical sector from terrorism. The online survey is available here.

The 112th Congress is currently considering several bills for a straight up extension of the current CFATS regulations, while other lawmakers have proposed legislation that would require some companies to implement inherently safer technologies (IST). In this context, the survey is intended to provide lawmakers with a progress report on CFATS and security improvements achieved to date. When this and other research is completed, a final report summarizing the results will be made available to legislators, government agencies and the chemical sector.

This online survey should only take about 10 minutes to compelte. The survey does not intentionally ask for any information that is considered proprietary or security sensitive. Survey participants are requested not to provide information that is considered security sensitive by your company or the Department of Homeland Security.

Participation in this research study is completely voluntary. Responses will be confidential adn no identifying information such as your name, e-mail address or IP address will be collected. All survey data is stored in a password protected electronic format.

If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact Bill Enry at the ACC via e-mail at bill_erny@americanchemistry.com.
