The 2010 growing season is presenting many producers with a challenging year for weed management, according to Ohio State University. Some fields in Ohio and elsewhere still have to be planted and weeds in those fields may be extremely large now.

Another challenge many are facing is that most growers will not want to wait seven days to plant soybeans once the field becomes dry enough, which precludes the use of 2,4-D to help control large weeds.
