FMC Corporation announces a new registration of Brigadier insecticide. Now approved for at-plant use in potatoes, Brigadier controls soil insects while continuing to provide systemic control of foliar insects.

"Brigadier is now one of the only broad-spectrum insecticide products labeled for both at-plant and foliar use in potatoes," said Bob Leifker, product manager, FMC Agricultural Products.

Brigadier insecticide is a new at-plant option that offers effective protection against soil insects such as wireworms while also systemically controlling foliar insects including aphids, Colorado potato beetles and leafhoppers. The insecticide provides residual control for prolonged crop protection against sucking and chewing insects. In addition, Brigadier makes an excellent resistance management partner and may be applied in tank mixtures.
