DuPont has submitted a registration application for Aproach fungicide with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The product, which contains the active ingredient of picoxystrobin is already being sold in 28 countries.

In the U.S., initial registration is anticipated for disease control in corn, soybeans, cereals, dry beans, peas and canola. The two diseases mentioned as being susceptible to Aproach are gray leaf spot and barley scald.

DuPont says it anticipates launching Aproach in the United States as early as 2012. The company plans to develop additional products based on the fungicide's active ingredient, picoxystrobin.
