At a special reception on Aug. 11, the city of Moose Jaw and The Mosaic Company welcomed southern Saskatchewan to Mosaic Place, a state-of-the-art, multi-use facility and new gathering place for the people of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

The Mosaic Company will support Moose Jaw’s newest landmark with a 10-year, $1.5 million commitment. Along with initiatives like the Mosaic Heart Centre, Habitat for Humanity, Mosaic Stadium and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, Mosaic Place is another example of Mosaic’s commitment to Saskatchewan.

“Mosaic is proud to have been a part of Saskatchewan for over 40 years,” said Brad DeLorey, director of public affairs for Mosaic’s Potash operations. “This is a great way to show how important the city is to us and to help Moose Jaw enjoy the world-class facility it deserves. Projects like this help Saskatchewan flourish and make us proud to be a part of the community.”

Mosaic Place ushers in a new era in entertainment, provides a new home for the Moose Jaw Warriors and creates a gathering place for southern Saskatchewan.

“Community events, conventions, trade shows, curling, concerts and, of course, hockey—we’re very excited about what the facility means to Moose Jaw,” said Mayor Glenn Hagel, Moose Jaw. “But, we’re also excited about our partnership with Mosaic. Moose Jaw has always been a city with an eye to the future and this means Mosaic will play an important part in that future.”

Mosaic Place is a 210,000-square-foot, multi-use facility featuring a 4,367-seat sports bowl, an eight-sheet curling facility, banquet and meeting rooms, and private suites and club-seating. The facility officially opens August 19, shortly followed by the kickoff to the Warriors’ WHL season.
