Gro Alliance, the nation’s largest independently-owned contract seed corn production company, recently signed an agreement to acquire the Bo Jac Seed Company seed corn production location in Mount Pulaski, Ill.

“We’ve built trusted relationships directly with our clients and we provide them with unmatched transparency and communication” said Jim Schweigert, vice president of business development for Gro Alliance. “The addition of the Bo Jac facility gives our clients access to more full season options and allows Gro Alliance to produce the entire lineup for more seed companies.”

The Bo Jac seed corn production facility gives Gro Alliance another first-class seed corn drying, conditioning and packaging facility complete with a separate foundation seed production line that will allow Gro Alliance to expand its services to parent seed production and other research activities.

“The Bo Jac production team is highly experienced and we expect them to all be big contributors to our success in Mount Pulaski for years to come, especially as we enter the foundation seed production business” said Schweigert.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed with closing to come at a later date.
