Syngenta announced the launch of Catalyst, a new seed brand that gives growers an additional opportunity to purchase hybrids containing Syngenta germplasm and Agrisure trait technology from their local seed company sales representative. Catalyst brand corn hybrids will be available regionally for the 2013 planting season and will be distributed by Burrus Hybrids in the Midwestern Corn Belt.

“Syngenta understands that growers appreciate the option of a local choice in their seed supplier,” said David Morgan, president of Syngenta Seeds, Inc. “Catalyst brand corn seed will give them that choice while expanding their access to high-performing Syngenta germplasm and traits.”

Burrus Hybrids, founded in 1935, has a long history of providing quality seed, consistent performance and exceptional value to its customers. Based in Arenzville, Ill., Burrus Hybrids serves growers in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin.

“Our distribution agreement with Syngenta means that we can provide our customers with additional choices in high-quality hybrids and give them another reason to rely on us for the product diversity and performance they need to ensure success for their entire operation,” said Tom Burrus, president of Burrus Hybrids.
