The American Society of Agricultural Consultants announced it will hold its annual meeting Oct. 21-23 in Denver. This year’s program content is aimed at any and all professionals working in the consultancy business. The focus is on what is going on currently with leading edge technology for consultants with a seque into some of the basics of running a successful business. In other words, something for everyone who works as a consultant.

Although the program has not as yet been fine-tuned down to exactly who is going to present at what hour, the basic meeting schedule is included so you can plan your travel accordingly.

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. The room rate for the conference is $134 for single, double or triple occupancy. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel Reservations Department at 888-421-1442 or online.

The preliminary agenda includes these topics: business ethics, new advancements in precision agriculture and satellite imaging, organic production from the eyes of an auditor, labor and immigration issues from a producer’s viewpoint, the role of the consultant as a third-party advisor, the role of your brewmeister in American Agriculture, becoming a good consultant, effective negotiating, writing business proposals and general project management.
