BIG PICTURE
By Doane Economist
Soybean complex prices were up sharply on Friday with the meal market leading the charge higher. The July meal contract scored a technical breakout above the trading range to date in April and that appeared to ignite short covering and additional bull spreading. Fundamental news remains bullish for prices, although Friday didn't bring specific new fundamental news. But with the NOPA crush report strong early in the week, China buying more old-crop beans midweek, and Argentina cutting its production forecast on Thursday, the weight of data has been bullish.

Dow AgroSciences
Preemergence control with multiple modes of action.
If you don't want to waste soybean yield potential, you can't wait until emergence to start controlling weeds - not when every inch of weed growth could cost you 0.7 bu./A (according to research from Southern Illinois University).

Sonic® herbicide offers exceptional preemergence control and residual activity on a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds in glyphosate-tolerant and conventional soybeans.

It operates with two unique modes of action to help manage a broad spectrum of difficult-to-control and herbicide-tolerant weeds right from the start -- when weeds pose the greatest threat during key stages of soybean development.

As a powerful component for two-pass control, Sonic acts as a perfect complement to glyphosate herbicides such as Durango® DMA® or Duramax® . And the convenient premix formulation of Sonic allows for easy tank-mixing with other crop protection chemicals.

Start the growing season right with broad-spectrum preemergence control from Sonic. For more information, visit SonicHerbicide.com. (The referenced products are not registered for sale or use in all states. Always read and follow label directions.)
