Paul Derig, with J.R. Simplot Company, testified on behalf of agricultural retailers this week at a hearing before the House committee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials, a subcommittee of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The subcommittee organized the hearing in order to receive testimony related to the reauthorization of the hazardous materials safety programs of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

As an environmental, health and safety manager, Derig has more than 30 years of experience with many aspects of hazardous materials handling and transportation through industry experience and as a public responder in Oregon and Idaho.
