Environmental activist groups have found a new source of revenue. Robert Kennedy Jr., president of WaterKeeper Alliance, will appear in ads for Gant.

The sportswear maker recently gave WaterKeeper Alliance a six-figure donation and is offering polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps with the WaterKeeper's logo. All sales proceeds will go to the alliance. Kennedy also is a lawyer for the Natural Resources Defense Council, another activist group.

Gant has added information about WaterKeeper Alliance in its global campaign to help build awareness of the organization. This is one example of how activist groups are branching out to generate significant funds for their causes.
