Washington Group has received a five-year contract from Agrium Conda Phosphate Operations to perform mining services at the Dry Valley Phosphate Mine in southeastern Idaho. The company also announced receipt of a separate contract from Agrium to construct, in 2005, a gypsum stack expansion at Agrium's nearby plant where the phosphate ore is processed into fertilizer.

"We are delighted to earn this repeat business from an outstanding client," said Roy Wilkes, president of Washington Group's Mining Business Unit. "We have an outstanding team in southeastern Idaho and are committed to
providing Agrium with world-class service."

Mining operations will begin at the Dry Valley Mine in June. The contract calls for production of approximately nine million tons of phosphate ore and 45 million tons of overburden over the five-year project. At the peak of production in 2006, the Dry Valley Mine is expected to employ 100 people.
