US BioEnergy Corporation (NASDAQ:USBE) is celebrating the grand opening of the company's newest ethanol production facility with a remote NASDAQ Closing Bell Ceremony today at the facility in Albert City, Iowa. US BioEnergy is the nation's largest pure-play producer of ethanol, a renewable fuel alternative that is critical to lessen America's dependence on foreign oil.



To celebrate this important company milestone and mark US BioEnergy's recent initial public offering on the NASDAQ stock market, the company will be hosting a grand opening celebration for members of the community and its employees. The event will include a remote Closing Bell Ceremony of the NASDAQ, held live at the Albert City facility. Chet Culver, Governor of Iowa will also be on hand to mark the opening of the facility along with executives of NASDAQ and local and community leaders.



"The opening of our Albert City facility marks a very important step forward for US BioEnergy, the local community and farmers of Albert City and for the future of renewable energy in America," commented Gordon Ommen, chairman and CEO of US BioEnergy. The Albert City facility, which began operations in November 2006, is expected to produce approximately 100 million gallons of ethanol per year and 320,000 tons of distillers grains per year. This brought the company's total ethanol production to 250 million gallons of ethanol per year, which is currently the largest output by any pure-play producer of ethanol in the United States.
