ST. PAUL, Minn. -- US BioEnergy Corporation, a producer and marketer of ethanol and distillers grains, has begun site preparation work near Janesville, Minn.

The facility is expected to produce approximately 100 million gallons of ethanol per year, 320,000 tons of distillers grains per year and employ about 45 people.

Historically, the construction cycle for its ethanol plants has been about 20 months. Fagen Inc. will provide design, engineering and construction services for the project.

US BioEnergy Corporation is a producer and marketer of ethanol and distillers grains. The company currently owns and operates three ethanol plants and has four additional ethanol plants under construction. Upon completion of these initiatives, the company will own and operate seven plants with combined expected ethanol production capacity of 600 million gallons per year.
