The Pork Checkoff announces that it will sponsor a live broadcast on RFD-TV. The hour-long program will focus on how Checkoff-funded educational tools are helping pork producers with the daily care of their animals, specifically highlighting distance learning materials available from the Pork Checkoff.

The program will feature Dennis Michael, a pork producer and member of the National Pork Board from Yankton, S.D., Dr. Duane Reese from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Dr. Todd See from North Carolina State University. Farm broadcaster Max Armstrong will moderate.

"It's important to let producers know what tools are available to help make their operations more successful. The National Pork Board has developed a number of ways to provide practical information to producers," Michael said.

RFD-TV, based in Dallas, Texas, is a 24-hour television network dedicated to serving rural America and reaches more than 21 million homes. RFD-TV is on DirecTV Channel 379 and Dish Network Channel 9409. The program will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and 7 p.m. Central time.
