DuPont Crop Protection considers it is big news that Finesse cereal and fallow use herbicide has new labeling for planting of BOLT technology soybeans after the herbicide application.

A shorter rotational interval of four months following a Finesse herbicide application is possible when BOLT soybeans are being planted on soil of pH 7.9 or lower.

The company contends this shorter rotation period on irrigated and non-irrigated land will help farmers “leverage additional herbicide modes of action, offering increased options to combat henbit, mustards, wild buckwheat and other yield-limiting weeds.”

The BOLT technology provides seed with native traits to give “selected” soybean varieties enhanced tolerance to a selective group of herbicides, and specifically Finesse in this case. The BOLT technology was launched in 2015.
