The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently expanded Dow AgroSciences’ Enlist Duo herbicide geography from 15 to 34 states. This expansion covers most corn and soybean growing acres in the U.S. In addition, EPA registered Enlist Duo for use on varieties with the Enlist cotton trait.

Enlist Duo combines glyphosate and 2,4-D choline and features Colex-D technology. Dow says Colex-D technology provides farmers with four critical benefits.

  • Minimized risk of physical drift compared to a tankmix of traditional 2,4-D and glyphosate
  • Volatility is reduced by 96% compared to 2,4-D ester
  • Low odor
  • Better handling

As of Jan. 13, 2017, Enlist Duo is federally registered in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. See the product label for specific county restrictions.

Dow is awaiting import approvals before launching Enlist soybeans and corn. Enlist cotton will be available this spring in PhytoGen varieties.
