PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Produce Safety & Security International Inc., a sanitation disinfectant process supplier to the food and medical industries, is opening of a Fresno, Calif., office.

PDSC's Fresno marketing and procurement office will open early March 2006 under the direction of Jerre Maxwell, who will handle the procurement and sales of all fresh produce grown in California, Arizona, Oregon, Idaho, Texas, Colorado and Washington State, as well as the Mexican and West Coast Imports.

"The Fresno office positions PDSC in the heart of one of the world's most productive and influential agricultural regions. It is a region which also features some of the most highly educated consumers, who are most likely to force an increased demand for our products and services," said Clarence W. Karney, CEO of PDSC.

"Organic food compatibility, complete audit trail and reduced spoilage are some of the features that will resonate with the region's large base of fresh fruit and vegetable producers, retailers and consumers. We believe these unique qualities make Fresno the ideal location to spread the word about PDSC's Food Safe Products," Karney said."

Produce Safety & Security International Inc. has developed and patented products for extending the shelf life of perishables. The EPA-registered products sanitize and disinfect against food-borne illness pathogens and disease-causing bacteria. PDSC provides a range of options for retail stores, restaurants, cruise ship lines, disaster cleanups and municipal programs.

PDSC's state-of-the-art ozone process has been shown to extend the shelf-life and remove food-borne illness bacteria. It uses no chemicals, thus meeting the requirements of organic certification.
