GREELEY, Colo. - Loveland Products Inc.'s Makaze(TM) glyphosate herbicide has received federal registration and will be available for use in the 2007 crop season.

Makaze is a 4-pound IPA salt of glyphosate formulated with proprietary Leci-Tech(TM) technology. C-14 studies have indicated quicker and more complete uptake of Makaze compared to leading glyphosate formulations. This means increased herbicide uptake, improved performance on tough weeds, and ultimately a glyphosate for all seasons, Loveland Products said.

Makaze will be sold only through authorized United Agri Products (UAP) distribution locations. Production will begin in 45 days. Makaze will be offered in mini-bulk, bulk, 30-gallon drums, and 2x2.5 gallon package sizes with limited availability.

United Agri Products is the largest independent distributor of agricultural inputs and professional non-crop products in the United States and Canada. UAP operates a comprehensive network of approximately 340 distribution and storage facilities and three formulation plants. UAP markets approximately 220 proprietary and private label branded products, under the Loveland Products Inc. and Dyna-Gro brand names.
