AMARILLO, TEXAS – The annual High Plains Irrigation Conference and Trade Show hosted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be held Jan. 13 in the Regency Room of the Amarillo Civic Center, 401 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo.
The program this year addresses a wide variety of topics, said Nich Kenny, AgriLife Extension irrigation specialist. The topics range from profit-based irrigation management to application of irrigation management technologies to Panhandle Limited Water Project reports, and computer-based irrigation models and advances in irrigation equipment technologies.
Approximately five Irrigation Association and Certified Crop Adviser continuing education units will be offered for conference attendees, he said. The trade show will include booths from the irrigation industry, area groundwater districts and educational institutions, Kenny said.
The registration fee will be $20 at the door and includes lunch, he said.
