Hertz Farm Management, Inc., Nevada, Iowa, has acquired the business of Iowa Pro Ag Corporation located at Strawberry Point, Iowa. Marlin Schminke, the owner of Iowa Pro Ag Corporation, and Julie Meyers, the office administrator, have joined the Hertz staff and will continue to work out of the Strawberry Point office. With the office in Strawberry Point, Hertz has 14 offices located in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Nebraska serving farmers and landowners from Indiana to Colorado. The Hertz company was founded by Carl Hertz in 1946. Services include professional farm management, farm real estate sales, auctions, acquisitions, farm and commercial appraisals, and agricultural consulting.

Iowa Pro Ag's beginning goes back to March 1969 when the company was founded under the name of Busse and Beneke. Marlin Schminke joined the firm in August 1969 and purchased the company in 1976. The name of the company was changed to Iowa Pro Ag Corporation in 1981.

Loyd Brown, president of Hertz Farm Management, reports that one of the primary factors in Marlin Schminke's decision to join Hertz was to provide enhanced services to the Iowa Pro Ag clients.
