A webinar that will provide an overview of the current and future role of hybrid rice technology in global food production will be presented by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s Food and Agribusiness.

The university’s Bobby Coats, Ph.D, professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, said. “We will review the impact that hybrid rice has had on the U.S. market, the adoption of hybrid rice in the global market and a forecast of the evolution of hybrid rice over the next 20 years.”

This webinar’s presenter will be Michael Gumina, who has more than 35 years experience in the seed industry and is the lead executive for RiceTec AG which is a privately held, global hybrid rice seed business.
