The board of directors of Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica), the region's largest agricultural lender, has announced the unanimous decision to promote Doug Stark to president and chief executive officer.

Stark joined FCSAmerica's Senior Leadership Team in 1998 and has served as chief credit officer during his tenure. Stark has successfully helped build a sound, effective credit underwriting system and quality loan portfolio for the association. He has been instrumental in several strategic initiatives including the introduction of Country Home Loans and the Young and Beginning Producer program, streamlining scorecard lending, creating and adopting a Farm Credit System-wide risk-rating model, and diversifying the portfolio to name a few.

Previously, he was interim division president for Farm Credit Services of America. There he led the development of an initial objective risk rating system and provided field based leadership insight to revise several lending practices to more closely align with positive customer experiences and business development. Stark has held several leadership positions with FCSAmerica since 1985 along with a two-year examiner/supervisor role with the Farm Credit Administration. Stark brings to the position over 19 years of senior executive and senior leader level experience.
