There are several Farm Journal College events scheduled for this summer, and the new one is the AgProfessional Day, also referred to as the AgProfessional Retailer College day, although it is designed for consultants and retailer agronomists within the whole spectrum of companies serving farmers.

This all-new, one-day agronomic training will provide information on innovative agronomic practices to help ratchet up customer’s yields and build stronger customer relations. The event will be held at the Farm Journal College Campus in Heyworth, Ill., on July 18. Sign up today to assure yourself or staff seats at this “one-of-a-kind event.”

Led by Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie, the curriculum is centered around the Systems Approach to growing crops, which requires understanding how one process or management change affects many other factors and ultimately yield. The agenda will include hands-on, in-field breakouts and classroom sessions highlighting sunlight, water and nutrient management, how to assist customers with hybrid selection, an inside look at soil characteristics’ impact on fertilizer needs and yields, evaluating how data drives agronomic practices, and top tips for how to work with customers.
