WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology, an independent advisory committee, will meet on future recommendations to EPA on various issues, including the watershed approach to water pollution and sustainable development and commercialization of biofuels.

NACEPT advises the EPA Administrator on a broad range of environmental policy, technology and management issues. Council members include representatives from academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and state, local, and tribal governments.

NACEPT will hold a public meeting Thursday and Friday to discuss sustainable water infrastructure, environmental stewardship, cooperative conservation, energy and the environment, environmental technology, and environmental indicators.

The meeting runs from Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST through Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. EST, in the Dolley Madison Room of the Madison Hotel, 1177 15th Street NW (15th & M Streets), Washington, D.C. 20005.
